"Fort Noesis"

By: RyOK and Noesis Interactive

A business center turned military evacuation outpost sits abandoned atop a heavily wooded mountain. Four survivors arrive at the gates of Fort Noesis with hopes of being rescued but are instead greeted by countless infected and barricades blocking their way. They begin to fight their way through the hordes of zombies in an attempt to contact and meet up with some sort of rescue. Will they survive Fort Noesis and make their escape? The outcome is up t…  More

So I'm sure you all have noticed I stopped writing for gameriot and I have my reasons for it.  Basically back in Febuary I signed a contract to a small portion of the ad revenue that my blog generated (40%) to be exact.  It wasn't much (between 100-150$ a month), and I enjoyed writing.  However it took gameriot an absurd amount of time to pay me when I won the blog contests, to the point I had to email one of the higher ups numerous times just to get the blog contest payments.  I didn't receive the may payment till september I believe, and that was after they mixed up the payments in the first place.  The ad revenue share payments however, I only received one in july for febuary (there is a 6 turn around on payments after signing the contract).  After that payment I never received another one and I was told they had no record of me even being an ad revenue share writer, even after I got promoted to admin the entire Left 4 Dead portal, which meant I would receive payment based on ad revenue for the entire portal and not just my blog.…  More

The PC demo for Left 4 Dead 2 finally dropped this past evening after close to half a dozen delays over the course of the day, me complaining and flames throughout the Steam Forums.  Valve time may have struck again but we can all rest easy playing the demo today and preparing for the launch of the full game in a couple of weeks.

This will be my micro-review of the demo which is pretty small itself but still a good time.

The new special infected are an off-the-wall good time, I can't wait to us…  More

The Left 4 Dead news continues to roll in thanks to L4DMods and Ian over at Hellforge.  Click the above image for the full campaign poster.

First up is news on the awesome Crossroads Mall map which has been in progress before Left 4 Dead even came out.  The map was ported over to the game and since the SDK came out the crew behind the mod has been fast at work trying to get the game out in to your autoshotty-loving hands.  According to the story last week they are certain that at least maps 1-5 w…  More

My most recent video was the offspring of many reasons.

1) L4D2's just over the horizon, and an update anytime might just render my demos redundant.
2) The mass majority of L4D videos have little to no originality. Its all HUNTERS (wow surprise!). If you've seen Visceral, you've seen em all.
3) I was extremely impressed by Team Exigent's Fist City video, but the music wasnt as inspiring as the footage itself.
4) I found a gem in Afro Celt System's Lovers of Light, listening to it I'll always have im…  More

I'll try to beat the haters to the joke, "wasn't the demo Left 4 Dead 1, ahuhuckhuck".  With that being said it is almost time to gear up for some new means of zombie destruction.

Today at an EA press conference in Tokyo Valve's Kim Swift confirmed that a demo for Left 4 Dead 2 is on the way.  This should be awesome news for fans of the series and further haterade for those rallying against it, if they can even stick to their guns at this point.  The show will go on however, boycott or not, lea…  More
