Surgical of team iNeX (Dx under their new sponsors name) recently finished his first video series called RAWR volume 1.  The series consists of highlights from matches and scrims spread across 4 videos.  The editing, gameplay, and music are all top notch.  If you want an inside peak at what some of the top teams are doing look no further as Dx/iNeX is largely regarded as one of the most innovative and flashy teams in Left 4 Dead.

Unfortunately they went through a little bit of roster trouble having MetaL and namrog go afk for personal reasons, as well as Dog defecting to Infected Cup runners up area51.  Currently iNeX sits a top gamebattles L4D ladder with a stellar record of 38-1 (Their only loss to area51 after Dogs defection, putting them at 1-1 all time vs area51 in match play).  They are also currently undefeated in CAL (forfeit wins though) in a division that features notable teams psC (Professional Street Crossers) and TLC (Tree Log Champions) so look for them to be the team to beat in their CAL division.

Without further ago here are the videos from volume 1 of the RAWR series.

Look for the first installment of RAWR volume 2 to be out later this week (From what I've seen it is the best in the series so far)

didnt really find it that impressive, some of the people they were playing were obviously pretty bad, and i dont find set up 25 dmg pounces that impressive. when you said editing is top notch, i was expecting something like cs/css videos lol
individiual demos of matches maybe with a vent recording are imo a much better show of skill for this game.

and stupid question, does he actually play as hunter in 3rd person?

Meh, I never found the editing in the first few videos that good.  I'm sure that's what you are referring to.  In the latter part of the series I cut all the pub footage out, and made it exclusively scrims / gbs / cal matches.

And who wants to hear a bunch of nerds raging out in vent?  lol... I've considered mixing in, in game sounds or vent audio, but I've opted not to.  I'm not trying to reveal anything strategically, these videos are just meant to entertain.

Besides your question about me playing in 3rd person is reveals the the type of player you are....

Vent / ingame sounds can be a cool effect for a specific scene to add to the excitement.  It has a way of building tension and really instilling a sense of what is on the line in a scene.  In many videos if say it is a clutch round of a big match producers will lower the music and put in vent sounds or announcer commentary (we don't have this yet in L4D) to help set a tone.

It should be used sparingly though, but don't immediately dismiss the notion of using something like that, if used correctly it can really be beneficial.

Ya, my sponsor was saying the same thing, but he was focusing on showing more of the communication / teamwork aspect.  I may consider it, but at this point, I'm not even sure if I'm making any more videos.

I'd say hold off till cal starts back up then just get rawr footage from matches of scenes you like and make video highlighting the season if anything

The editing was terrible on the first indeed but that can quite obviously be excused by the time it got marginally better by the second volume, better timing with music etc.
